Telecommunications and Network Technician/Installer

  • This position mostly consists of traveling around to different sites to rack and stack install various network equipment and run the cabling required. You must provide your own white truck or commercial van to work out of. Candidate will be responsible for all aspects relating to the Telecommunication and Networking industry such as but not limited to; troubleshooting, programming and configuring all types of telecommunication equipment, working with different types of wiring and being able to differentiate between colors, working with all types of cable including Cat5 / Cat6, working with small components to establish cable connections, understanding signal path and flow, and using hand tools and testing equipment. This position requires high energy, working at a fast pace, while paying close attention to details. You will need to perform work in a safe manner and be able to work independently with little to no direction while following all company policies and guidelines. If you are a critical thinker, problem solver, hard worker, and very professional, then you are who we are looking for.

    Requirements

    · Must be at least 18 years old.

    · Current valid driver’s license.

    • White truck or white commercial vehicle
    • MVR with three or less moving violations/ accidents collectively within the past three years.
    • All final candidates must undergo and pass security sensitive background checks and a controlled substance screening.
    • Work well under pressure, and work both independently and as part of a team while being detail oriented.· Demonstrate a professional appearance with excellent verbal and written skills combined with the ability to identify small print and distinguish between colors.· General working knowledge of computers, laptops, operating systems, emails, PDF, GPS/ Navigation systems and electronics.· Excellent customer service skills.· Able to work full time with an open flexible schedule and willing to work weekends, over time, and holidays when necessary to meet customer needs/ system demands.
    • Physical requirements· Candidates need to be able to bend, reach, twist, climb, squat and kneel without restriction
    • Safely walk over all types of terrain carrying tools, ladders (60-75 lbs) and equipment.
    • Work in all weather conditions including inclement weather and in extreme heat/ cold environments.
    • Work in confined or restrictive areas such as crawl spaces and attics that may be poorly ventilated.
    • Comfortable with traveling, sitting, or standing for extended periods of time.
    • Experience:
    • Computer Networking: 1 year (Preferred)
    • Computer Skills: 1 year (Preferred)

    License/Certification:

    • Driver's License (Required)
