Creates plans and drawings detailing the layout of routers, circuits, cables, switches, or other telecommunications equipment. Being a Telecommunications Engineering Technician ensures network connectivity for end-users. May evaluate existing networks and recommend design changes to improve performance. Additionally, Telecommunications Engineering Technician requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Telecommunications Engineering Technician may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Traveling Telecommunications Tower Site Technician Overview:
As a Traveling Telecommunications Tower Site Technician, you will be working in a team environment assisting with structural projects, which may include building a new sire or implementing new technology in this rapidly growing and developing field. You are on the front line, playing an important role in keeping people connected and updated. As a traveling site technician, you will be working around the country for six weeks at a time, then have the option of the company paying for an airline ticket home or to somewhere else, for a 7-10-day break.
You will be gaining knowledge in effectively building the backbone of the nation’s wireless communication systems, while following all safety protocols and precautions set forth by Federal, State and company policies and regulations.
Essential Job Functions:
Working at heights in all weather conditions while implementing and utilizing all required safety equipment.
