Telecommunications Engineering Technician assists telecommunication engineers in the design and analysis of telecommunication networks. Creates plans and drawings detailing the layout of routers, circuits, cables, switches, or other telecommunications equipment. Being a Telecommunications Engineering Technician ensures network connectivity for end-users. May evaluate existing networks and recommend design changes to improve performance. Additionally, Telecommunications Engineering Technician requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Telecommunications Engineering Technician may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.   • Summary: To maintain control of rejects found in-house from other overseas Tec plants. Assist with warranty issues and new model start up as needed.
    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Responsible for making master sample parts for production testers.
    • Create and maintain quality documentation.
    • Perform line patrols to ensure quality of process and procedures.
    • Provide customer support for any quality related issues.
    • Perform dimensional and functional testing of parts as needed.
    • Responsible for the segregation of non-conforming parts from good quality parts.
    Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

    Education and/or Experience:
    Tec A – 2-year degree in related field or working toward a degree with 3-4 years relevant experience.
    Tec B – 2-year degree in related field or working toward a degree with 2-3 years relevant experience.
    Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
    Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, commissions, and proportions to practical situations.
    Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Department specific database software; Internet software, Power Point software, Excel Spreadsheet software, and MS Word Processing software
    Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: A valid driver’s license to drive a company vehicle.
