Creates plans and drawings detailing the layout of routers, circuits, cables, switches, or other telecommunications equipment. Being a Telecommunications Engineering Technician ensures network connectivity for end-users. May evaluate existing networks and recommend design changes to improve performance. Additionally, Telecommunications Engineering Technician requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Telecommunications Engineering Technician may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Candidate shall be well versed in MicroStation/Geopak and/or AutoCad Civil Design Software. A background in civil, site, utility and mechanical design is a plus. Associates degree preferred.
Bridge/Structures Engineering Technician; Columbus Office
Engineering Technician with 2 to 7 years of experience in the preparation of construction plans and drawings for structures and bridge related projects. Candidate shall be well versed in MicroStation/Geopak and/or AutoCad Civil Design Software. A background in structural detailing is a plus. Associates degree preferred.
