Being a Telecommunications Engineering Technician ensures network connectivity for end-users. May evaluate existing networks and recommend design changes to improve performance. Additionally, Telecommunications Engineering Technician requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Telecommunications Engineering Technician may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Candidates must have at least 3 years of related experience, hold certification as an MDOT Office Technician, and have prior MDOT document experience or training. FieldManager experience, strong written and verbal communication skills, computer proficiency, ability to multi-task, detail oriented and strong organization skills are all critical for this position.
