Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications systems, including cabling, alarm systems, and low voltage equipment
- Perform field service visits to troubleshoot and resolve issues with telecommunications equipment
- Test and inspect telecommunications systems to ensure proper functioning
- Collaborate with clients to understand their specific needs and provide appropriate solutions
- Follow schematics and technical drawings to accurately install and connect telecommunications equipment
- Provide training and support to end-users on the proper use of telecommunications systems
- Keep detailed records of all service calls, repairs, and maintenance performed
Experience
- Proven experience as a Telecommunications Technician or similar role
- Strong knowledge of telecommunications systems and equipment
- Familiarity with IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems) and fire alarm systems
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings
- Experience in computer networking is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
