Telecommunications Manager manages an organization's telecommunication systems to ensure optimal network performance. Implements and enforces policies and procedures for installing and maintaining telecommunications equipment. Being a Telecommunications Manager plans and manages complex installation or repair projects. Assesses current and future telecommunications needs and researches and plans improvements to meet those requirements. Additionally, Telecommunications Manager trains and develops staff. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Telecommunications Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Telecommunications Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Autonomous Systems Engineering is looking for a Walkout Specialist to support feasibility/data collection project in Amarillo, TX. ASE takes great pride in offering Walkout/Engineering solutions that meet the growing telecommunications industry. We are seeking individuals who are self motivated and enjoy working outdoors. This position starts as Part Time 20 hours a week and will require driving within a 1 -1.5 hour radius of the Amarillo, TX area. Telecom experience required.

    JOB SUMMARY

    Walkout Specialists travel from location to location measuring routes and monuments in the path of telecommunication lines. These specialists will input information in computer software and programs while averaging 2-3 miles a day in the Amarillo area.

    QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

    You are detail orientated and pay great attention to numbers/accuracy.

    You like to work outside.

    You have a driver's license and a reliable vehicle.

    You are a self starter and are self motivated.

    You are knowledgeable/competent in using maps, Ipads, tablets and can learn computer programs quickly.

    Telecommunications/Utility background preferred.
