Telecommunications Technician is responsible for installing and maintaining cable and equipment outside the central office for a service provider. At 702 Communications this primarily means installing premise and customer equipment in a scheduled window of time to an expected degree of neatness and accuracy. This position will be part of an on-call rotation.

The Facilities Technician position involves the termination and maintenance of every kind of communications service we provide: POTS, DSL, DS(1), Wired and Wireless Ethernet, Satellite Television service and modular fiber optic work. (No splicing.) The qualified candidate must have first-hand knowledge of both POTS and Ethernet wiring standards, as well as at least a cursory knowledge of the 802.11b/g/n/ac protocols from the IEEE. (WiFi) The qualified candidate must be able to efficiently use a Windows-based PC and should be familiar with MAC OSX networking features.
