We are looking for a Telecommunications Specialist with general experience in LAN/WAN engineering, installation, configuration, and maintenance of various network equipment (routers, switches and associated technologies, as well as at least two (02) years of experience with Telecommunications technology (VSAT, Cellular, BGAN).
· The focus of this role will be to manage the build, test and deployment lifecycle for the first 150 communication units being produced by a company in Broussard Louisiana. First, the devices will need to be configured and documented according to the provided instructions. Second, the units will need to be tested for functionality according to a pre-written test plan. And finally, the communication kits will need to be shipped to the designated product line personnel that will be deploying the kits to the field.
· Since some of these kits will be shipped overseas, interaction with Client logistics will also be required. Any paperwork needed to get approved shipping and licensing will need to be completed and submitted by the person in this role.
This position is located in Broussard, LA USA, proving primary Field Communications Support for NAM - GOM. Global Communications Support is also required for this role.
Basic Qualifications:
· The primary technology areas covered by the Business Operations Engineer are:
o LAN, MAN and WAN devices.
· Bachelor’s Degree with 1-2 years or 3-5 Years oilfield operational experience is preferred.
Essential Responsibilities:
· Interact with 3rd party vendor.
· Reconcile production schedule with deployment requirements.
· Identify any possible roadblocks or schedule changes.
· Coordinate updates with Client project managers.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Certification(s) Minimum Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP), can be replaced by experience in the field.
