Telecommunications Manager manages an organization's telecommunication systems to ensure optimal network performance. Implements and enforces policies and procedures for installing and maintaining telecommunications equipment. Being a Telecommunications Manager plans and manages complex installation or repair projects. Assesses current and future telecommunications needs and researches and plans improvements to meet those requirements. Additionally, Telecommunications Manager trains and develops staff. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Telecommunications Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Telecommunications Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Requirements:

    • U.S. Citizen
    • Minimum 10 years of experience in Telephony Management in DOD effort.
    • Experience in site management, risk management, scheduling, resource allocation, and quality assurance.
    • Ability to manage time, make sound decisions, take independent action, analyze problems, and provide focused solutions for a sizable staff with diverse areas of expertise.
    • Active/recent (last 24 months) U.S. government security clearance.

    Desired:

    • Familiarity with Army C41M Services List.
    • BICSI and Security certifications.
    • ITIL Foundations training.

    Job Description:

    • Serve as the overall site lead for the Fort Knox team.
    • Responsible for operations, personnel management, and customer support.
    • Provide coordination and management of customer infrastructure projects.
    • Participate in project review meetings, engineering design reviews, technical working groups, and other related meetings with customer stakeholders.
    • Serve as the on-site POC representing GStek corporate.

    Physical/Mental Requirements:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

    • See, talk, hear, stand, walk, sit, bend, and climb stairs.
    • Lift and move items over 25 pounds.
