Monitors network systems and performs diagnostic tests to document and report performance levels. Being a Telecommunications Technician conducts routine checks and preventative maintenance to minimize malfunctions and downtime. Troubleshoots telecommunication issues and performs or coordinates repairs. Additionally, Telecommunications Technician may require an associate degree. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Telecommunications Technician works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.     General Purpose of the Position

    • This position is primarily responsible for providing top-tier customer service while performing preventative maintenance services on vehicles. Changes oil, checks and refills fluids, rotates tires, tests and replaces batteries, inspect and replace lights and wipers,

    Essential Functions

    • Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
    • Inspect and test new vehicles for damage and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
    • Test electronic computer components in automobiles to ensure proper operation. Tune automobile engines to ensure proper and efficient functioning
    • Install or repair air conditioners and service components, such as compressors, condensers, and controls.
    • Repair, replace, or adjust defective fuel filters.
    • Check air pressure in vehicle tires; and levels of fuel, motor oil, transmission, radiator, battery, and other fluids; and add air, oil, water, or other fluids, as required.
    • Rotate, test, and repair or replace tires.
    • Other Functions
    • Other tasks as assigned by the Company.

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee, working in a shop environment, is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
