Telecommunications Technician jobs in Gulfport, MS

Telecommunications Technician maintains an organization's telecommunications network to ensure dependable operation. Monitors network systems and performs diagnostic tests to document and report performance levels. Being a Telecommunications Technician conducts routine checks and preventative maintenance to minimize malfunctions and downtime. Troubleshoots telecommunication issues and performs or coordinates repairs. Additionally, Telecommunications Technician may require an associate degree. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Telecommunications Technician works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.     TECHNICIAN REQUIREMENTS:

    • Knowledge of Suspension Inspections, Diagnosis and Repair
    • Knowledge of Brake System Inspections, Diagnosis and Repair
    • Knowledge of Electrical System Inspection, Diagnosis and Repair
    • Knowledge of Hydraulic System Inspection, Diagnosis and Repair
    • Proficient in the use of Diagnostic tools with the ability to interpret and make repairs from Service Manuals
    • Ability to complete work within Suggested Repair Times (SRTs) and the ability to estimate time and material required for repairs
    • Knowledge to provide assistance and guidance to Assistant Technicians and Shop Helpers.
    • CDL Class B (preferred within 12 months)
