Telecommunications Technician maintains an organization's telecommunications network to ensure dependable operation. Monitors network systems and performs diagnostic tests to document and report performance levels. Being a Telecommunications Technician conducts routine checks and preventative maintenance to minimize malfunctions and downtime. Troubleshoots telecommunication issues and performs or coordinates repairs. Additionally, Telecommunications Technician may require an associate degree. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Telecommunications Technician works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.     We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Utility Line Locator to join our team. As a Utility Line Locator, you will be responsible for locating and marking underground utility lines to ensure their protection during excavation and construction projects. Your expertise in field service, utility locating, and cabling will be essential in this role. If you have a strong attention to detail and enjoy working outdoors, we encourage you to apply.

    Responsibilities:
    - Conduct utility line locates using various methods and equipment
    - Mark the location of underground utility lines accurately and clearly
    - Collaborate with construction crews to ensure the safe excavation of utility lines
    - Utilize specialized tools such as cable locators, ground-penetrating radar, and electromagnetic equipment
    - Perform land surveying tasks to identify property boundaries and easements
    - Read and interpret blueprints, maps, and drawings to determine the location of utility lines
    - Operate machinery such as backhoes or forklifts when necessary

    Requirements:
    - Previous experience in utility locating or related field service work
    - Knowledge of cabling systems and underground utilities
    - Familiarity with land surveying techniques and blueprint reading
    - Ability to operate equipment such as backhoes or forklifts
    - Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately mark utility line locations
    - Excellent communication skills to collaborate with construction crews effectively
