Telecommunications Technician maintains an organization's telecommunications network to ensure dependable operation. Monitors network systems and performs diagnostic tests to document and report performance levels. Being a Telecommunications Technician conducts routine checks and preventative maintenance to minimize malfunctions and downtime. Troubleshoots telecommunication issues and performs or coordinates repairs. Additionally, Telecommunications Technician may require an associate degree. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Telecommunications Technician works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.     We are seeking a Data Center Technician to become an integral part of our team! You will design and configure data communication systems as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency.

    Responsibilities:

    • Installation and maintenance of communication systems
    • Adjust voice and video configurations to minimize communication disruptions
    • Work with various cable that include but are not limited to: twisted pair, coax, power limited tray, stranded, solid conductor low voltage, Category 5, Category 6, single and multi -mode fiber optic cables.
    • Pulling, placement, termination, testing, and labeling
    • Investigate customer issues and design appropriate solutions
    • Order and maintain inventory stock supplies
    • Full Data Center build out
    • Rack install / Rack and Stack

    Qualifications:

    • Previous experience in telecommunications, electrical engineering, or other related fields
    • Familiarity with telecommunications equipment
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

    Expected hours: 40 per week
