Teller Manager supervises the teller staff and daily operations for a branch to meet operational and service standards. Ensures each day's transactions balance and oversees the auditing, reporting, and balancing operations. Being a Teller Manager reviews and approves exception transactions and researches and resolves discrepancies according to branch procedures. Prepares and manages the schedule and ensures sufficient teller coverage during busy periods. Additionally, Teller Manager responds to escalated customer issues and presents solutions. Trains staff members on operating, regulatory and security policies and procedures. Reviews tellers' performance, conducts performance appraisals, tracks cash differences, and issues corrective actions. May require an associate degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Teller Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Teller Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Primary Function: Welcome members to the Credit Union and deliver excellent service by processing accurate and efficient account transactions and maintenance. Identify member’s financial needs and provide solutions by referring products and services.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Welcome members to the Credit Union and thank them for their business.
    • Process accurate and efficient account transactions and maintenance.
    • Provide members with the features and benefits of our current products and services in order to find solutions for their financial needs.
    • Understand and follow all policies and procedures, including but not limited to, dual control, buying/selling in confidence, privacy of Credit Union and Member information, Balancing, End of Day Processing, etc.
    • Review daily and monthly reports ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
    • Understand and describe the purpose of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti Money Laundering, and Office of Foreign Asset Control policy (OFAC). Identify the BSA Administrator and responsibilities. Complete annual BSA training. Know where to find the BSA policies, procedures, and forms.
    • Responsible for processing member information and transactions consistent with BSA policy and procedures. Understand the regulatory requirements and the internal BSA/AML policies, procedures, and processes. Understand and describe; Suspicious Activity Report (SAR), Currency Transaction Report (CTR), Customer Due Diligence policy (CDD), and Office of Foreign Asset Control policy (OFAC). Complete and file appropriate forms in a timely manner; Suspicious Activity Report, Currency Transaction Report, Document CRM consistently as directed by operational procedures.
    • Take initiative to expand your knowledge and take on additional responsibilities.

    Education and Experience: Job requires a high school education level of language, math and reasoning skills and two years’ experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience. Higher level education and/or experience may result in advanced level placement. Training should focus on our policies, procedures, computer systems and knowledge in our products and services. Training should be supplemented with continuing education.

    Work Environment/Physical Activities: Ability to work in fast-paced environment. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Work creates normal fatigue daily. Work creates moderate stress during certain periods during daily routine. Job does not have specific volume and pace of work standards except that the job requires that members be served in the timeliest manner possible. Job requires extensive member contact on a continual basis.
