Teller Manager supervises the teller staff and daily operations for a branch to meet operational and service standards. Ensures each day's transactions balance and oversees the auditing, reporting, and balancing operations. Being a Teller Manager reviews and approves exception transactions and researches and resolves discrepancies according to branch procedures. Prepares and manages the schedule and ensures sufficient teller coverage during busy periods. Additionally, Teller Manager responds to escalated customer issues and presents solutions. Trains staff members on operating, regulatory and security policies and procedures. Reviews tellers' performance, conducts performance appraisals, tracks cash differences, and issues corrective actions. May require an associate degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Teller Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Teller Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.   • Job Summary:

    Assists members with their financial needs; performs a variety of duties in the branch in support of the branch operations.

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

    • Receives and processes member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments
    • Posts transactions, adjustments, and corrections to member accounts and maintains member records
    • Sells items such as money orders, cashiers checks, travelers checks, gift cards, and savings bonds
    • Orders member checks
    • Answers questions on ATM, Debit, and Credit cards
    • Organizes and stores all branch receipts and documents
    • Applies stop pays as needed
    • Balances cash drawer and daily transactions
    • Meets referral goals by cross-selling credit union products and services that would benefit the member
    • Provides routine information to members concerning products and services
    • Refers members to appropriate department for specific information and service
    • Assists members with opening and closing accounts
    • Answers questions about products and services and resolves member problems
    • Performs a variety of miscellaneous tasks including scanning checks, typing, filing, computer input and answering telephone
    • Performs other duties as assigned

    Job Requirements:

    • A high school diploma or GED.
    • Up to six months of similar or related experience, six months cash handling experience preferred.
    • Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion.
    • Able to operate a 10-key calculator, typewriter, and computer keyboard by touch. Must have strong multi-tasking ability and communication skills. Must have good attention to detail.

    Physical Requirements/Work Environment: May lift up to 25 lbs taking marketing materials to events;Office work; may need to sit for long periods of time in front of a computer.

    Pay: $15.00 per hour
