Teller Manager supervises the teller staff and daily operations for a branch to meet operational and service standards. Ensures each day's transactions balance and oversees the auditing, reporting, and balancing operations. Being a Teller Manager reviews and approves exception transactions and researches and resolves discrepancies according to branch procedures. Prepares and manages the schedule and ensures sufficient teller coverage during busy periods. Additionally, Teller Manager responds to escalated customer issues and presents solutions. Trains staff members on operating, regulatory and security policies and procedures. Reviews tellers' performance, conducts performance appraisals, tracks cash differences, and issues corrective actions. May require an associate degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Teller Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Teller Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Scope of Job
Responsible to perform all related work responsibilities consistent with the standardized procedures and compliance requirements of the Bank.
Accountable to process customer transactions accurately and according to the customer service standards of the Bank. Work to identify customer needs for convenience services and referral opportunities for other services.

Primary Duties
Responsible to actively greet each customer, determine their specific Banking needs, provide a single point of contact for the completion of teller transactions and other service needs.
Responsible for the accurate processing of all customer transactions requested through the lobby, drive-up, or telephone.
Including but not limited to; deposits, withdrawals, cashier check issuance, check cashing, credit card advances, and check orders, transactions.
Accountable to accurately perform individual teller drawer balancing. Provide assistance in handling night deposit and mail processing, ATM servicing and balancing.
Responsible to provide customer service, perform account maintenance and problem solve; according to customer need. This may include stop payments, funds transfer, balance inquiry, and address or other information changes.
Work to identify customer needs for additional Bank and Financial Service products; refer other Bank, Trust, Brokerage, and Insurance products and services to new and existing customers.
Actively seek out opportunities, outside the Bank, to grow new customer relationships through referrals.
Secondary Duties
Work as a team with departmental counterparts on planning and implementing assigned projects and products.
Participate on various committees and project teams as deemed appropriate by management.
Attend, actively participate in organization, job specific training offered, and Quality Service programs.
Adhere to all applicable Policies and Procedures of BankWest organization.
Community involvement is strongly encouraged.

Requirements / Education
Working to complete high school education or equivalent.
Knowledge and Special Skills
Ability to work dependently and / or independently, under pressure, meet deadlines, and adjust work schedules as needed to complete job responsibilities.
Ability to organize and handle multiple responsibilities while delivering quality external and / or internal Customer Service.
Strong interpersonal skills to ensure effective communication with external and / or internal customers.
Knowledge or ability to learn regulatory requirements pertinent to performance of specified duties in job description.
Ability to skillfully use a variety of application software, learn computer programs, and comprehend the program output.
Adhere to Federal Privacy Standards in addition to following BankWest requirements for electronic communication and Social Engineering standards.
