Job Summary

Essential Functions

* Advises the business, suppliers, and customers in the development of Quality plans to ensure the flow down of requirements.

* Oversees the development of methods, procedures and metrics to ensure quality standards and practices.

* Advises on development of methods for testing and approval of products, processes, and equipment and measurement systems to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.

* Establishes statistical confidence by identifying sample size and acceptable error, and determining levels of confidence.

* Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data; and making recommendations.

* Ensures quality processes conform to corporate and business safety, health, and environmental protocols and standards.

* Perform and lead materials testing to ensure products' compliance to specifications.

* Train and supervise quality technicians to conduct existing and newly developed test methods and properly document results as part of QC process.

* Lead in root-cause investigations of customer or technical issues through testing, and author internal and external reports.

* Collaborate with Quality Manager to ensure compliance of QC records to standards.

* Review and approve QC specifications and other documents for technical accuracy.

* Contribute to customer-facing activities on quality testing related topics.

* Participate in Plant's R&D and other technical projects as needed.

* Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, participating in professional societies.
