Job Title: Test Technician
Standard Bots, which specializes in designing and manufacturing robotic arms for various industries, is seeking an experienced Test Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be charged with executing test protocols provided by other teams to validate performance of hardware and software and to ensure that our robots meet company quality standards required for deployment.
Additional duties may also include general warehouse activities such as shipping, receiving and inventory management. You will also work closely with the facilities manager and the broader engineering team to improve operational efficiency and product manufacturability.
The role is on-site at our manufacturing facility (Glen Cove, NY).
As Test Technician you will:
Liaise with cross-functional teams to execute hardware and software tests on robot components and systems, including motors, sensors, control boards, and communication interfaces
Manage test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports
Assist in troubleshooting and debugging efforts for issues found during testing
Maintain and calibrate testing equipment and fixtures to ensure accurate and reliable testing results
Follow safety procedures and guidelines when working with potentially hazardous equipment and materials
Report defects and issues pertaining to quality & process to Production Supervisor
Perform quality inspections and tests to ensure highest customer satisfaction
Receive, unload, unpack and transfer materials to different work stations
Contribute to driving continuous improvement of efficiency on the facility floor
Minimum Qualifications:
HS Diploma or equivalent
Two (2) or more years experience in a hands-on mass production line environment
Familiarity with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Positive attitude and team player
Ability to multitask and handle tasks with competing priorities effectively
Effective communicator
Extreme attention to detail
Bonus Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
Experience with automotive, aerospace, industrial, mechatronic or electromechanical device manufacturing
Knowledge of programming languages such as C or typescript
