Identifies functional problems and suggests resolutions. Being a Test Engineer assists in the definition of internal quality control standards and the maintenance of reliability programs. Documents and analyzes test cases and provides regular progress reports. Additionally, Test Engineer ensures testing procedures are in compliance with any required industry specific standards. Requires a bachelor's degree of Engineering. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Test Engineer works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Test Engineer - Full Time
Location: Nicholasville, KY, 40356
Develop, support, and implement In-Circuit Test (ICT) and Functional In-Circuit Test (FICT).
Support and implement customer-supplied test systems.
Write software to exercise units under functional test or in-circuit test and program firmware into ICs.
Write software to store and retrieve test results.
Develop and release test instructions.
Validate tester hardware and software functions before releasing to manufacturing.
Perform quality assurance on tester hardware and software.
Coordinate with the customer engineering group during the quoting process.
Use precision test equipment to test and troubleshoot boards.
Read and interpret schematics and drawings.
Prepare failure analysis reports for customers.
Report any major production errors affecting product quality.
BS/BA in Engineering or AS/AA in Engineering Technology with 5 years of relevant experience.
Extensive test and troubleshooting experience.
Proficiency in MS Office and computer hardware.
Experience in coding software using Windows or other operating systems, SQL, Visual Basic, C, .Net, Labview or other software languages.
Ability to use various test equipment for troubleshooting.
Familiarity with electrical CAD systems used for designing and producing printed circuit boards (preferred).
Experience in electronic manufacturing (preferred).
