Test Engineer interacts with other engineering groups to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for products, systems, components, or modifications. Identifies functional problems and suggests resolutions. Being a Test Engineer assists in the definition of internal quality control standards and the maintenance of reliability programs. Documents and analyzes test cases and provides regular progress reports. Additionally, Test Engineer ensures testing procedures are in compliance with any required industry specific standards. Requires a bachelor's degree of Engineering. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Test Engineer works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Education:
Associates Degree 4 year(s) related experience
Experience:
Associates degree in environmental science, engineering, chemistry or biology is desirable. May substitute environmental or bioenvironmental technical training and 2 years relevant experience in core areas of the position description. Background in environmental science/management with knowledge of federal, state and local environmental laws and regulations. Experience in using environmental field testing equipment. Knowledge of environmental protection and bioenvironmental programs and regulatory compliance. Minimum of four years experience in environmental science/management.
Licenses or Certifications:
Asbestos Training, HMMP (AFSPC Hazardous Material Mgmt Process), DEP–Reporting for Small Water System Assistance
Security Clearance:
Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information with a SECRET Clearance.

Supervises nonexempt and exempt employees’ environmental training
B. Supervision Received
Works under the general supervision of the Environmental Manager and Civil Engineering Manger. Work is checked for results achieved. Defines own work assignments within specific guidelines.
IV. WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
A. Physical Tasks
Exerts limited physical energy. May have to handle 20-30 pound loads on occasion.
B. Working Conditions
Normal office environment. May work extended hours or weekends. May travel overnight or on weekends.
