Job Description
Kyocera SLD Laser is looking for an individual to participate in achieving GaN device testing objectives in the Advanced Development group at Kyocera SLD Laser. The successful candidate will be hands-on, self-motivated, and detail oriented. She/He will possess the skills described in this opportunity, including familiarity with device physics, opto-mechanical and opto-electronic systems, testing software and equipment, as well as excellent organizational and communication skills, attention to detail and eager to be a team player. She/He will be part of the Advanced Development Group, the group which is at the heart of the research and development of novel semiconductor devices at the core of Kyocera SLD Laser’s state-of-the-art products, working closely with other R&D technicians, engineers and scientists, contributing substantially for the design and optimization of our devices.
In this role, the responsibilities of the successful candidate will include carrying out relevant development, modification and maintenance of test equipment, implementing software and setups for testing and characterization of laser diodes and processed test structures. The candidate will use computer languages such as LabVIEW, Matlab or Python to develop testing setups and use SQL to load results in databases. The candidate will also participate in the design and be responsible for the assembly, maintenance and modification of specialty characterization setups necessary to fully evaluate the devices fabricated by the team and the materials they are made of.
