Acts as advisor to test engineering team regarding projects, tasks, and operations and acts as a liaison to other engineering functions. Being a Test Engineering Manager ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Test Engineering Manager typically reports to a unit/department head. The Test Engineering Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Test Engineering Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Provide regular engineering updates to Board of Directors.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science Degree (engineering preferred).
5 years leading an engineering department, 5-10 years in engineering project management, and 3-7 years in food processing plant experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and AutoCAD.
Strong technical aptitude, established leadership, problem-solving skills, and adept goal setting.
Excellent time management and communication abilities, capable of leading teams effectively.
Extensive background in food, beverage, and CPG manufacturing.
Thorough knowledge of OSHA, USDA requirements, system controls, sensors for manufacturing, construction trades, and project management.
Proven leadership experience with a proactive and positive attitude.
This role demands a skilled Engineering Manager capable of steering capital projects, ensuring operational efficiency, and fostering a proactive and positive team environment.
