Test Engineering Manager is responsible for managing the evaluation, recommendation and implementation of testing procedures and strategies for products, systems, components, or modifications. Acts as advisor to test engineering team regarding projects, tasks, and operations and acts as a liaison to other engineering functions. Being a Test Engineering Manager ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Test Engineering Manager typically reports to a unit/department head. The Test Engineering Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Test Engineering Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required. We currently have an opportunity available for a HANDS-ON software engineering manager. This is a direct hire opportunity offering a hybrid work schedule, competitive compensation package, benefits, PTO, and 401K.
This individual would report directly to the VP of IT and would have up to 4 direct reports. This is a hands-on manager role and would require daily programming from the manager and this is a full-stack role.
This role would require strong experience building software applications utilizing PHP MVC frameworks, ES2015 JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS frameworks like Bootstrap and/or Material UI.
THIS POSITION REQUIRES at least 10 years of experience as a minimum for each (PHP and JavaScript) and experience working with PHP 8.0 within the past 3 years.
Additional Requirements:- Working knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, SQL Server), and creating/reviewing stored procedures.
- Strong Experience building RESTful APIs.
- Expertise in Object Oriented Programming, preferably with PHP.
- Working Knowledge of API management systems or enterprise service buses.
- Experience with deploying and monitoring applications on the Apache server.
- Experience with Ubuntu's command line interface, package management, and basic systems Administration tasks relevant to deploying applications.
- Working knowledge of React patterns and practices.
- Ability to utilize complex computer operations (intermediate/advanced programming, relational databases, and operating systems) and advanced features of software packages, including Agile development life cycle and business/technical requirements analysis, data modeling and Cloud design, deployment, and support of infrastructure for ERP and Service systems.
- Handles broad-based complex information across departments with company-wide impact. Presents to diverse audiences, and can negotiate, motivate, and persuade others.
