Test Engineering Supervisor supervises the evaluation, recommendation and implementation of testing procedures and strategies for products, systems, components, or modifications. Oversees the identification of functional problems and leads the analysis, and interpretation of test results. Being a Test Engineering Supervisor oversees the documentation, definition and maintenance of internal quality control standards and reliability programs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Test Engineering Supervisor typically reports to a manager. The Test Engineering Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. b19 Consulting is working with an expanding power delivery company to find a Distribution Engineering Supervisor that has executed projects from an electric utility background. The ideal applicant will have experience working on both Brownfield and Greenfield projects.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5-10 years utility Distribution experience
- Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without need for sponsorship.
- A minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience either working directly with an electric utility or an electric utility consulting company performing design engineering for electric distribution is required
- Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or working towards obtaining.
- Providing estimated costs, development of a BOM,
- MicroStation -performing Electrical Distribution design.
- Work management software and job estimating software.
- A Formal or informal leadership role
- Ability to lead a large portion or the entirety of a distribution design project.
