Test Engineering Supervisor jobs in Charlotte, NC

Any Lab Test Now Huntersville is looking for a medical laboratory supervisor to join our face-paced and dynamic clinic. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, has an excellent attention to detail, motivated, ambitious, and patient focused.

Responsibilities

*Performs laboratory analysis on received specimens, providing clinical information for diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases. *Responsible for overall quality, efficiency, and safety in the performance of assigned technical duties. *Demonstrates proficiency and follows testing procedures and policies by adherence to quality assurance guidelines for equipment and work area, documenting corrective action to any non-conforming event. *Works in a fast-paced clinical environment which contains bio hazardous (infectious) materials along with chemical, fire, and mechanical hazards. *Supervise and train staff on the proper collection and processing of specimens. *Willingly perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

*Associate’s degree preferred. MLT registry eligible or equivalent required. MLT (ASCP) or equivalent required within one year of hire. *Knowledge of laboratory equipment and testing to perform quality control checks and troubleshooting of instrumentation. *Knowledge of current medical terminology to perform full range of laboratory tests. *Must have previous supervisory experience and leadership capability. *Must have customer service and "soft" sales skills. *Must have phlebotomy experience and/or certification. *Skill in anticipating and reacting calmly to emergency situations. *Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance. *Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public. *Ability to follow written protocols. *Ability to work independently. *Ability to communicate clearly.

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays. Compensation is $19.00 - $20.00/hour.
