Test Engineering Supervisor jobs in Rapid City, SD
Test Engineering Supervisor supervises the evaluation, recommendation and implementation of testing procedures and strategies for products, systems, components, or modifications. Oversees the identification of functional problems and leads the analysis, and interpretation of test results. Being a Test Engineering Supervisor oversees the documentation, definition and maintenance of internal quality control standards and reliability programs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Test Engineering Supervisor typically reports to a manager. The Test Engineering Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. Besides shop repair services we provide field services to the multi-state area, therefore there will be some travel. Previous substation experience is beneficial but not required, a successful applicant will have a BSEE. This is a diverse position, that includes office work evaluating test data and writing reports from field crews, consulting with clients, and field work. Field work includes setup and testing protective relay systems as well as acting as the startup engineer for new substation testing and commissioning projects. Typical annual salary range is $70,000 to $100,000, can be higher depending on qualifications and experience.
