Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes.     Role Overview:

    As a Quality Control Supervisor in a life science manufacturing environment, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of product quality and compliance with regulatory requirements. You will lead a team of quality control technicians and inspectors, overseeing the inspection and testing processes to guarantee the integrity and safety of the manufactured life science products.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Supervise and lead a team of quality control technicians and inspectors.
    • Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure the team's proficiency in quality control processes.
    • Develop and implement quality control procedures and protocols in alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct routine inspections and testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
    • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of quality control processes.
    • Analyze quality metrics and implement corrective actions to address deviations and continuous improvement.
    • Lead investigations into non-conformances, deviations, and customer complaints related to product quality.
    • Implement corrective and preventive actions to address identified issues and prevent recurrence.
    • Provide ongoing training to quality control personnel on new techniques, technologies, and updates in regulatory requirements.
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the quality control team.
    • Participate in cross-functional meetings to address quality-related issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.

     

    Critical Competencies for Success

    • Proven experience as a quality supervisor 
    • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, regulatory requirements, and industry standards
    • Proficient in the use of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., statistical analysis, Six Sigma, FMEA)
    • Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
    • Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work
