Test Engineering Supervisor jobs in Trenton, NJ
Test Engineering Supervisor supervises the evaluation, recommendation and implementation of testing procedures and strategies for products, systems, components, or modifications. Oversees the identification of functional problems and leads the analysis, and interpretation of test results. Being a Test Engineering Supervisor oversees the documentation, definition and maintenance of internal quality control standards and reliability programs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Test Engineering Supervisor typically reports to a manager. The Test Engineering Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. Description
- Permanent position for an Electromechanical Test Technician to ensure that assemblies meet electrical and mechanical design specifications.
- Responsible for final testing of each unit prior to shipment.
- Collect, review and submit all quality control documents to engineering.
- Perform incoming tests on all returned units.
- Check quality of all complete units.
- Inform department supervisors of any quality issues.
- Input test results into the system and complete test reports.
- Design and set up test workbooks in Excel
- Attention to detail.
- Basic electrical knowledge including safety requirements.
- Ability to use multimeter and other electrical test equipment.
- Ability to use a square, tape measure, micrometer, wire gauge, hand and power tools.
- Ability to interpret shop drawings and schematics.
- Ability to lift 30 lbs.
- Must have general mechanical abilities.
- Must be very organized with excellent document control techniques.
- Positive self-motivated attitude
