Testing Technician, Sr. performs standard testing processes on a variety of equipment and records and analyzes results. Records data from testing in standard formats and provides results to product and engineering teams. Being a Testing Technician, Sr. assists technical teams with recommendations to resolve testing problems, roadblocks or equipment malfunctions that impact the performance or validity of testing. May recommend changes in testing methods or equipment changes. Additionally, Testing Technician, Sr. requires knowledge of industry specific tests and testing equipment. Typically requires an associate degree. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Testing Technician, Sr. works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. BATC has an immediate opening for a full time Engineering Technician. We are pursuing a self-motivated individual capable of performing field and laboratory construction materials testing, including but not limited to: concrete, soils, asphalt, and aggregates. No experience is necessary, however, a qualified individual will need to be able to accurately document tasks completed and effectively interact and communicate with co-workers and clients regarding duties performed. Prior experience in the construction field, laboratory testing, and the ability to understand civil and structural plans would be helpful for anyone applying for this position. Wisconsin Department of Transportation PCCTEC I, American Concrete Institute (ACI) Grade I and Nuclear Density Certifications are also desired but not required.
