Job Description :
This is a position as a service technician with the specialty niche of the hospital environment. We primarily service piped medical gas systems (although we provide other services listed below).
These medical gas systems require service technicians to obtain a special ASSE 6000 series license. This position can be considered a two year apprenticeship where you will be trained for the specific tasks required.
A medical gas verifier is knowledgeable concerning NFPA codes and testing requirements. As a trainee you will be responsible for learning these codes and applying them.
You will be responsible for obtaining an ASSE 6040 license after the first year. The second year you will be responsible for obtaining the ASSE 6030 license.
We provide other services to Hospitals, Emergency Rooms, Surgery Centers, Dental Offices and Veterinary Hospitals. These services include but are not limited to :

We work primarily within the hospital environment and have daily interaction with hospital personnel and patients. Our typical work hours are from 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday however, we often work outside of this window.
We often work overtime as we work around the needs of hospitals. We will often have later evenings or early mornings to avoid sensitive areas like Operating Rooms.
We work occasional weekends (1 or 2 days per month) and our out of town work averages 3 - 4 days per month.
