Testing Technician, Sr. performs standard testing processes on a variety of equipment and records and analyzes results. Records data from testing in standard formats and provides results to product and engineering teams. Being a Testing Technician, Sr. assists technical teams with recommendations to resolve testing problems, roadblocks or equipment malfunctions that impact the performance or validity of testing. May recommend changes in testing methods or equipment changes. Additionally, Testing Technician, Sr. requires knowledge of industry specific tests and testing equipment. Typically requires an associate degree. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Testing Technician, Sr. works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function.     IMTL construction testing services has openings for testing and inspection of on-site building construction and site work. Training and certification will be provided. Qualified personnel will provide testing of concrete, soils, masonry, steel and other materials. Field site and laboratory positions are available. Qualified applicants may have engineering, construction management, geology, sciences, or technical backgrounds including carpentry or formal education in these services and building construction experience is ideal. Personnel will work with craft foremen, site superintendents, engineers, owners and various other personnel in their daily activities.

    Job Requirements

    • This position requires the ability to travel and work on construction project sites. Candidates must want to work outdoors much of the time. Personnel must have the ability to use math, write reports, read construction drawings and specifications, as well as, use testing methods and handling construction materials. Documentation through daily reports is necessary. Good communication skills with project site personnel and detail orientation is required. Training and certification is provided. Daily travel will be reimbursed at set rates. This is a year round position.
    • Drug and Background checks in accordance with state laws will be required prior to employment.
    • Lift up to fifty pounds, climb ladders.

    Applicants must have reliable transportation (small pickup or SUV works best) a phone (mileage expense provided), valid driver’s license, and respect for our equipment and property.
