Testing Technician, Sr. performs standard testing processes on a variety of equipment and records and analyzes results. Records data from testing in standard formats and provides results to product and engineering teams. Being a Testing Technician, Sr. assists technical teams with recommendations to resolve testing problems, roadblocks or equipment malfunctions that impact the performance or validity of testing. May recommend changes in testing methods or equipment changes. Additionally, Testing Technician, Sr. requires knowledge of industry specific tests and testing equipment. Typically requires an associate degree. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Testing Technician, Sr. works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Duties / Experience:
- Read and interpret construction plans to understand project specifications and requirements. Experience in compaction testing during mass grading and utility backfilling. Understanding of material properties (curves, PI's etc). Concrete Sampling, Asphalt Sampling, Percolation Testing.
- Collect data and analyze findings to identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions.
- Document inspection results, including any deviations from standards or specifications.
- Conduct final inspections to verify that all work has been completed according to plans and contract requirements.
- Strong knowledge of plan reading and construction management principles.
- Familiarity with Building Codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify potential issues.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with contractors and provide clear instructions.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License -ACI Certified - Concrete Sampling -Must be able to lift 50 lbs. - Use of Microsoft Office, Excel and Adobe Acrobat
