The Sports Event Manager role is part of the Sports division, with a focus on runDisney race weekends. This Manager will plan and partner with Business Development, Event Management and Operations to implement the staffing plans, specific to runDisney. This person will work closely with various internal lines of businesses and external vendors to ensure a seamless guest experience.
The selected candidate will report to the Manager - Sports Events.
This is a Full-Time role.
Collaborate with internal and external teams to create and implement new processes, including staffing strategies, training and strategic long-term plans.
Manage and strengthen the Celebrated Charity relationships and contract deliverables.
Lead for Information Tent inclusive of staffing and training for all runDisney events.
Lead Events and Services staffing metrics.
Responsible for financial planning, forecasting and reconciling expenses.
Serve as main point of contact for registration platform and other digital content.
Partner with 3rd party vendors
2 years leadership experience
Proven project management, event management or sports management experience
Disney operational knowledge or experience navigating within the company.
Previous experience with confidential information
Strategic thinker and creative problem solver, with attention to detail
Ability to accept, adopt and lead though change.

Able to develop positive relationships with team members, partners and clients`

Understanding of My Time and CDS
Basic working knowledge of Smartsheet, Teams, Slack, Zendesk and Microsoft 365
