    Whitefish Mountain Resort (Winter Sports, Inc.)

    Position Title: Ticket Office Sales Agent – Summer
    Department: Guest Information and Services
    Employment Status: Full Time & Part Time Seasonal (FTS & PTS)
    FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Hourly

    Job Summary:
     Ticket Office Sales Agents at Winter Sports, Inc provide exemplary service and information regarding all activities and amenities at the ski resort. Situated within the Guest Information and Services department, they serve as the primary Information Center for Whitefish Mountain Resort. Ticket Office Sales Agents sell summer activities (Aerial Adventure Park, Zip Line Tours, Alpine Slide, Scenic Lift, Bike Park Lift, Spider Monkey Mountain, Strider Bike Park), season passes, seasonal programs, lockers, parking, and events.  In addition, they handle phone and email inquiries for the resort, along with managing lost and found items. They operate primarily from the 2nd floor of the Base Lodge, with satellite work stations available throughout the resort.

    Job Relationships:

    • Reports directly to: Guest Information and Services Manager/Assistant Manager
    • Employees Supervised: None

     

    Job Specifications:

    • High school graduate or GED equivalent.
    • Fluent communication skills in English (written and oral) over the telephone, in person, and through email.
    • Comfortable working on a computer.
    • Ability to function effectively during times of high stress and high business demands, while dealing courteously and effectively with guests and staff.
    • Strong advocate of exceptional customer service, demonstrating honesty and integrity as a regular function of the job.
    • Meet company’s requirements for appearance, attendance, and punctuality.

     

    Specific Duties:

    • Acquire comprehensive knowledge of all types and prices of summer activities and packages, passes, programs, lockers, parking, events, and additional product offerings.
    • Conduct sales transactions for summer activities and packages, passes, programs, lockers, parking, events, and additional product offerings with guests.
    • Ensure accurate and thorough completion of monetary transactions, following established procedures when handling cash, checks, and credit cards.
    • Assist guests with online orders and resolve any associated issues.
    • Provide accurate and thorough information to guests via busy multi-line phones, emails, and voicemails.
    • Develop a thorough understanding of all aspects of Whitefish Mountain Resort to serve as an effective information source for guests.
    • Resolve guest issues to the best of your ability, escalating to management as necessary.
    • Aid in record-keeping for Lost and Found, coordinating shipping of Lost and Found items when necessary.
    • Provide administrative support as assigned by management.

     

    Work Environment:

    • Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
    • Flexibility to accommodate schedule changes on short notice.
    • Moderate physical activity required, including handling objects up to 10 to 20 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
    • Comfortable working at a desk and computer workstation for extended periods (up to 6 hours daily) and on one's feet for extended time periods (up to 2 hours daily).
    • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime during peak demand times, with flexibility to adapt to changing customer demands.
    • Non-smoking environment.
    • Subject to Winter Sports, Inc.'s Alcohol and Controlled Substance Abuse Policy based on the nature of the position and related duties.

    All team members must maintain constant vigilance for any unsafe conditions and work behaviors, conducting periodic inspections of work and public areas. Prompt action will be taken to correct any identified hazards or concerns.
