    We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Budtender. The Budtender will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, educating customers on cannabis products, and ensuring compliance with state regulations. This position requires a passion for cannabis, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

    Main Duties/Responsibilities


    Customer Service:

    • Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products based on their preferences and needs.
    • Provide accurate information about different strains, products, and consumption methods.
    • Answer customer questions regarding cannabis laws, regulations, and safety guidelines.
    • Ensure a positive and welcoming atmosphere for all customers.


    Product Knowledge:

    • Stay up to date on the latest cannabis trends, products, and regulations.
    • Educate customers on the effects, potency, and potential benefits of various cannabis products.
    • Assist customers in making informed purchasing decisions by recommending products that meet their needs and preferences.
    • Maintain a thorough understanding of the inventory, including strains, edibles, concentrates, and accessories.


    Sales and Transactions:

    • Accurately process sales transactions using the Dutchie point-of-sale (POS) system.
    • Handle cash and credit card transactions in compliance with company policies and procedures.
    • Verify customers' identification and ensure they meet legal age requirements for purchasing cannabis products.
    • Upsell additional products or accessories based on customer preferences and purchasing history.


    Compliance and Regulation:

    • Adhere to all state and local regulations governing the sale and distribution of cannabis products.
    • Ensure compliance with inventory management procedures, including tracking product quantities and expiration dates.
    • Follow strict security protocols to prevent theft and ensure the safety of customers and staff.
    • Complete required training and certifications related to cannabis laws and regulations.


    Team Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked retail environment.
    • Communicate effectively with other team members to coordinate tasks and address customer needs.
    • Assist with inventory management tasks, such as restocking shelves and conducting inventory counts as needed.


    About You

    • Minimum 21 years of age.
    • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 30 pounds.
    • Legally authorized to work in Cannabis in New York.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to multitask.
    • Prior retail or customer service experience is an asset.
    • Want to grow and develop Sales and Customer Service skills.
