    Description

    SUMMARY: The Slot Supervisor is responsible for the daily operation of the slot floor and directly supervising all Slot Department Team Members by fostering a culture that specializes in safety, teamwork, guest service, machine maintenance, and regulatory compliance.  

     

    Essential Responsibilities and Duties:  (Specific areas of responsibility including, but not limited to)

    • Adheres to departmental and casino policies and procedures.
    • Ensures compliance with all gaming regulations and ordinances.
    • Develops and maintains a good rapport with Guests.
    • Ensures Guest satisfaction by handling any guest service incident to the satisfaction of the Guest and/or Black Oak Casino Resort policies and procedures.
    • Fosters a team with a positive culture of teamwork, hospitality, and community.
    • Supervises all Slot Team Members including interviewing/hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, coaching, promotion/demotion, separation, and record keeping.
    • Oversight of the repair and maintenance of the slot machines by identifying, prioritizing, documenting, assigning, and reviewing the appropriate maintenance.
    • Supervises assigned maintenance projects to keep them on track, including communicating with other Supervisors, departments, and outside vendors as needed.
    • Oversight of our various maintenance record keeping routines to ensure an acceptable level of quality and adherence to policy.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications


    Mandatory Requirements:  

    • Must be at least 21 years old.
    • Must possess a high school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent.  
    • Must have one year of gaming experience with casino supervisory experience preferred.
    • Must be able to maintain a passing score on Title 31 and SARC Programs.
    • Must have strong written and oral communication skills; must have an outgoing personality.
    • Must possess excellent interpersonal and guest service skills.
    • Must have good computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
    • Must have the ability to learn and retain additional knowledge of all gaming operational responsibilities.
    • Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling Guests’ needs and concerns.
    • Must display leadership qualities by example, coaching and constructive input to enhance performance.
    • Must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.
    • Must be able to obtain a valid gaming license.
    • Must be able to pass a mandatory drug test.
    • Must be able to communicate proficiently in English.

      Physical Demands:

      • Must be physically able to perform all job requirements.
      • Must be able to lift 50 pounds and occasionally more with assistance.

      Work Environment:

      • Must be able to work in a non-smoke free environment.
      • Must be able to work in a noisy environment.
      • Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, and special events
      • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment for the full duration of the shift.
