Tire Machine Operator sets-up and operates machine to re-groove tread surface of pneumatic tires. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 0-2 years of experience. Being a Tire Machine Operator has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Additionally, Tire Machine Operator works under immediate supervision. Duties:
- Operate and maintain machines used for cutting, bending, etc. in the production process
- Assemble, package, and fabricate products according to specifications
- Use hand tools and equipment to perform tasks
- Handle materials and supplies for production
- Perform quality control checks to ensure products meet standards
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area
Experience:
- Previous experience as a machine operator or in a similar role is preferred
- Familiarity with basic math calculations for measurements and quantities
- Knowledge of welding techniques is a plus
- Proficiency in using SolidWorks or other CAD software is a bonus
