Being a Tire Machine Operator has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Additionally, Tire Machine Operator works under immediate supervision. Position Summary
Sets up and operates precision grinding machines or straightening machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines under the guidance of an experienced operator. Grinds external cylindrical surfaces or straightens work pieces to work router specifications. Under direct supervision, adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion. May perform a variety of tasks. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under direct supervision. May be required to follow other job related instructions and to perform other job related duties as requested.
