Tire Machine Operator sets-up and operates machine to re-groove tread surface of pneumatic tires. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 0-2 years of experience. Being a Tire Machine Operator has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Additionally, Tire Machine Operator works under immediate supervision. Responsibilities of the Machine Operator:- Operate and set-up machines involved in the manufacture of gas cylinders as assigned.
- Sanding and Palletizing gas cylinders
- Perform routine set-up and minor maintenance work as required.
- Ability to read and understand charts, tables, various types of measuring instruments
- Previous experience reading measuring tools including calipers, pie tape and ruler
