    Overview:
    We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Title Processor. As a Title Processor, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the title commitment aspect of real estate transactions.

    Duties:

    • Search real estate records and judgment records at the county recorder’s office, county clerk’s office, and various online sites such as Doxpop and Pacer.
    • Search public and private records for mortgage lenders, law firms, real estate agencies, or title insurance companies.
    • Examine recorder’s records and general indices, and assessor's rolls to compile lists of transactions.
    • Retrieve closing files for accuracy.
    • Summarize legal or insurance documents on the title search write-up sheet.
    • Search, analyze, and evaluate records relating to titles of homes, land, and buildings.
    • Ensure that the title to a property in question has no restrictions that may prevent or hinder its sale or use.
    • Examine deeds, deeds of trust, liens, judgments, easements, and plats/maps to determine ownership, encumbrances, and to verify legal descriptions of property.
    • Prepare property reports and title commitments.
    • Provide to title commitments to clients and be able to explain questions to realtors, lenders and 3rd party requests.
    • Analyze chain of title and preparation of reports outlining title-related matters.
    • Clear clouds on title
    • Position reports directly to the department manager

    Requirements:
    - Previous experience in the title insurance industry, paralegal experience, or mortgage industry experience.
    - Familiarity with escrow and loan processing procedures is a plus
    - Typing skills are a must for this position
    - Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all documentation
    - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
    - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
    - Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of title software systems

    Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
