Tool Crib Attendant jobs in Anderson, IN

OVERVIEW:

Receives, stores, and issues hand tools, machine tools, dies, materials, and equipment within the Engineering department (New Tooling, Die Maintenance, Wire EDM, etc.).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned):

• Issues tools and equipment to workers and locates lost or misplaced tools and equipment
• Prepares periodic inventory or maintains perpetual inventory of tools and equipment
• Cuts steel accurately, sharpens drills, and dispenses other supplies as requested
• Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming tools and equipment, and requisitions stock to replenish inventory in economic quantities
• Inspects tools and equipment for defects and wear and reports damage or wear to supervisors
• Exchanges information and cooperates with other tool crib attendant to ensure efficiency
• Delivers tools or equipment to workers when needed
• Marks and identifies tools, tool steel and equipment
• Maintains a clean, orderly and secure crib area

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 1 to 2 years’ applicable experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability and desire to problem solve and carry out instructions
• Able to read, write and speak fluent English
• Ability to accurately complete basic mathematics functions
• Ability to present in one-on-one situations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.60 - $19.40 per hour
