Maintains tool functionality, calibration specifications, and safe condition by performing frequent inspections of tools and equipment for wear, defects, or damage. Being a Tool Crib Attendant keeps an inventory of tools by tracking the distribution of tools and users in a database or other system. Orders new tools and equipment or repairs tools as needed. Additionally, Tool Crib Attendant has training and experience in an industrial environment with familiarity of heavy machinery and tools. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Tool Crib Attendant possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. The PA will be paid by the Western NY Independent Living Center through direct deposit, check, or provided debit card. New hires will have to attend a 2-hour virtual orientation, submit shot records, obtain a physical, and complete a PPD shot. COVID & flu vaccine is not required for this position. The physical/PPD will be paid for by the WNYIL company if you have no records.
The Consumer Directed Personal Attendant Services (CDPAS) program is a non-traditional homecare program where the consumer who receives care hire, trains, schedules, and terminates a PA of their choosing. Experience is not necessary, but encouraged.
