Tool Crib Attendant jobs in Lansing, MI

Franchino Mold & Engineering Co. (FMEC) is seeking a highly motivated Crib Attendant/Tooling Coordinator to assist with inventory and tracking usage of tooling, inspection of tooling for wear before being checked back into crib, track tooling costs and most recently paid prices, setup tooling for operators, track and distribute regrinds, handle shop purchase orders and hand FMEC responsible crib items.

Ability to learn and understand the basic function and operation of molds and dies. Microsoft Office experience required. Jobboss software experience preferred but not required. Must be self-motivated and able to work well with others.

• Inventory/Tracking – Raise or lower quantities based on shop usage, store low usage items and stay in contact with tooling vendors when items get low on stock.
• Inspect Tooling – Request tooling corrections required to replace tooling, quote and replace tooling and tooling holders/Collets/Grinders/Dual Action Sander etc..
• Track Tooling Costs – Double check our vendors vs each other… PFM, PPT, SST
• Set up Tooling – Set up holders, grind carbide and deliver by job to operators
• Regrinds – Drills & Endmills, ensure operators to use and separate carbide for scrap/regrind/back into use.
• Shop Purchase Orders – Tooling, maintenance, all FMEC non stocked inventory for Assembly and Machining, make tooling runs for immediately needed items
• FMEC Crib Items – EDM Wire, oils, bolts, ejector Pins, etc…

Experience: 3-5 years. Basic tooling knowledge required. Purchasing experience preferred, but not required.

Education: Highschool diploma required.
