Job Description

The Tool Crib Coordinator is responsible for ensuring all tasks and actions are completed, as required, and to ensure all daily and weekly goals are met. The Tool Crib Coordinator is responsible for setting up and issuing tools, safety equipment, and other consumable goods to Shop Floor personnel.

OMW’s Tool Crib Coordinator needs excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The Tool Crib Coordinator must be thorough and observant with an eye for detail. The Tool Crib Coordinator must fully understand the requirements for the product and have a sense of responsibility towards our potential and existing customers. The goal is to preserve our reputation by ensuring that we deliver good products on time to drive sustainable growth.

Job Responsibilities:

• Understands, adheres to, and demonstrates OMW’s commitment to quality and safety.
• Produces machining cutters by utilizing the Zoller system and labels accordingly.
• Issues tools and equipment to jobs in a proactive manner.
• Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming tools and equipment, and requisitions stock to replenish inventory, as required.
• Inspects and measures tools and equipment for defects and wear.
• Repairs, services, and lubricates tools and equipment and assures tools and equipment are available to machinists.
• Handling or movement of tools or equipment to various departments in the facility.
• Maintain a safe and LEAN work environment, including performing housekeeping duties.
• Maintains and promotes a safe and clean working environment.
• Meets attendance and punctuality standards.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Machining experience is required.
• Experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Knowledge of tooling fundamentals and application.
• Knowledge of CAM-based systems is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills are a must.
• Proficient in the use of measurement tools.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, especially through email and interpersonal communication.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Good problem solving and prioritizing skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to follow both writing and verbal instructions.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• Experience working with ERP systems is a plus.

Education & Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.

Compensation based on experience.
