We are seeking a talented and experienced Site Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Site Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the planning, design, and execution of various construction projects. You will collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and construction teams to ensure that designs meet project requirements, adhere to industry standards, and are implemented efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive site assessments to evaluate topographical features, soil conditions, environmental factors, and regulatory requirements. Analyze site data to inform the design process.
- Develop innovative and practical site designs that align with project objectives, budgetary constraints, and client specifications. Utilize CAD software and other design tools to create detailed plans, drawings, and schematics.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, zoning regulations, environmental guidelines, and other relevant regulations throughout the design process. Obtain necessary permits and approvals as required.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, external stakeholders, and regulatory authorities to coordinate project activities, address design challenges, and resolve issues in a timely manner. Communicate effectively with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure alignment and clarity throughout the project.
- Prepare comprehensive design documentation, reports, and technical presentations to document project, communicate key findings, and facilitate decision-making processes. Maintain accurate records of design revisions, project changes, and related documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- PE or EIT is preferred but not required
- Experience in site design, land development, or related field, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D, HydroCAD a plus but not required
- Excellent analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
