Tool Design Engineer designs and develops tools and machinery used to facilitate and optimize manufacturing processes. Reviews product design and build requirements to determine tooling concepts, design options, testing plans, and specifications. Being a Tool Design Engineer develops designs for fixtures, jigs, gauges, cutting and forming tools, carts, racks, and other items to support production. Utilizes Computer-Aided Design (CAD) to create accurate, complete, and concise design models and documentation to fabricate tools. Additionally, Tool Design Engineer estimates costs, resource requirements, and materials required for tools. May manage the sourcing, quoting, or procurement of purchased tools. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Tool Design Engineer work is closely managed. The Huron County Engineer’s Office is accepting applications for the full-time position of Highway Worker 2.
Rate of pay will be $23.47 after a 180 day probationary period.
Highway Worker 2 will be responsible for maintaining and repairing county highway roads and bridges. Position involves usually routine work in the operation of vehicles and/or construction equipment. Responsible for the careful and safe operation of a variety of motorized equipment. This may require being on call 24 hours a day.
Qualifications for the position are completion of secondary education or equivalent and one (1) year of experience working in general construction; or any equivalent combination of education, experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Applicant must possess a valid State of Ohio Class A or B CDL and maintain insurability under the Engineer’s insurance policy.
Potential candidates must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
