Utilizes Computer-Aided Design (CAD) to create accurate, complete, and concise design models and documentation to fabricate tools. Additionally, Tool Design Engineer estimates costs, resource requirements, and materials required for tools. May manage the sourcing, quoting, or procurement of purchased tools. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Tool Design Engineer work is closely managed. Conexon is a rapidly growing company working with Rural Electric Cooperatives to build advanced fiber to the home (FTTH) networks nationwide. We are currently looking for an FTTH Design Engineer to join the Conexon Field Services team.
We are looking for qualified candidates to design fiber builds from startup over multiple regional areas. This candidate should have experience with FTTX, FTTH, FTTP, Fiber, telecommunications or broadband projects. This candidate should also have a strong understanding of fiber design and distributive tap technology. FTTH Design Engineer must be organized and have good written and verbal communication skills to communicate with clients, cooperative members, and co-workers. Travel between projects is an essential requirement of this position.
