Being a Tool, Die, and Gauge Making Supervisor completes high level tool development work. Ensures jobs are completed correctly and on time. Additionally, Tool, Die, and Gauge Making Supervisor may require an associate degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. As a Machinist/Tool Maker Technician here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a crucial role in manufacturing and repairing precision tools, fixtures, and components for our aerospace products. Your expertise in machining and toolmaking will contribute to the production of high-quality aerospace parts and ensure the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.
You will report directly to our Sr. R&D Manager and you'll work out of our Morris Plains, NJ location on-site, Monday-Friday for 8 hours/day (actual shift time is flexible).
In this role, you will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our manufacturing operations by producing accurate and reliable tools and components. Your attention to detail and precision will contribute to the overall quality of our aerospace products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Operate and maintain manual and CNC machines to produce precision tools, fixtures, and components
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate machining
• Perform quality inspections to verify the dimensional accuracy of machined parts
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize machining processes
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to minimize downtime and maximize productivity
