Key Responsibilities for Digital Die Cutter include:

Performing critical manual and machine operator tasks as related to finishing operations using AB Graphic and Graphtronic equipment

Proper set-up, operation, quality, and changeover of the die cutter operations
-
Inspecting labels to ensure they are free of errors and/or defects
-
Following procedures for the first article of inspection and all other quality checks

Assisting in the implementation and sustainment of standard work, 5s, and mistake-proofing in assigned areas

Participating in continuous improvement teams focusing on Lean methodologies

Helping continue sustainability through following standard work and completing assigned paperwork

When requested, participating in Kaizen events and daily improvement projects

Identifying, recommending, and implementing areas for Lean and continuous improvement/modification

Ensuring processes are clearly managed, followed, monitored, and inspected

Working closely with teams/departments to create an environment that supports workflow and continuous improvements of all pressroom operations

Working safely, abiding by and promoting established safety policies and procedures; identifying and following-up on unsafe conditions

Participating in cross-training with an open and positive attitude

Assisting with experimental functions to evaluate new equipment, techniques, and materials as directed

Performing required preventive maintenance on assigned Finishing equipment

Preparing and maintaining appropriate documentation for assigned finishing tasks; entering accurate production information including finished product count and start/stop times in the data collection system

Interacting with shift Supervisor to help determine order priorities
